In 1983, after serving as a mason for six years, Vince Castellana began his career in home building. From humble beginnings, he fell in love with the construction industry and decided to use all his savings to build his first home with three partners. After the completion of his first house he knew he had something special to add to the industry. His eagerness to learn and grow helped him accomplish things in the next 35 years of his career that he never dreamed. Under his leadership the company has built thousands of new homes in Southeast Michigan and continues to grow at a steadfast pace.
In 2012, his son Vito Castellana joined the team. After eight years of dedicated work he is now a partner and President of Operations. Vito’s experience and accolades have shaped him to become an effective controller and overseer of each of the companies divisions. His efforts have led him to be honored as Young Builder of the Year from The Home Builder’s Association of Michigan. His leadership skills have grown the company nearly tenfold since taking over. In 2019, Vito’s hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed where he was nominated to the Board of Directors for The Home Builder’s Association of Michigan. Vito is the youngest to take on a board position within the association and also sits on the executive committee. He serves as a strong voice on behalf of local builders. He hasn’t stopped there either. In 2018, he opened VIP’s brokerage arm, Castleton Realty, to represent the company’s listings as well as grow a successful home brokerage business.
